We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer (5+ years) to join our collaborative team in Unanderra, NSW. This is a full-time, office-based role ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment and values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. About You You’re a degree-qualified mechanical engineer with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and project delivery within industrial or heavy engineering environments. You have strong technical proficiency in CAD and FEA tools, a solid understanding of Australian Standards, and the ability to work independently while contributing to multidisciplinary teams. What You’ll Bring 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an Australian University OR Professional membership of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering design and project work. CPEng desirable but not essential Bulk materials handling equipment design experience or discrete element modelling (DEM) is desirable Strong understanding of fabrication, manufacturing and construction processes, preferably with workshop and/or site experience. Proficiency in CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks) and engineering analysis software (e.g., Strand7 or ANSYS). Strong understanding of Australian Standards for mechanical engineering, design verification, and safety compliance. Ability to produce accurate 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation for fabrication and construction. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. What You’ll be doing Deliver innovative and practical design solutions for mechanical systems and equipment. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and client specifications. Prepare accurate models, drawings, and technical deliverables. Collaborate with structural, piping, and drafting teams for integrated project outcomes. Support design validation, analysis, and review processes.
