We are seeking a highly capable and driven Piping Design Engineer to join our collaborative team in Unanderra, NSW. This is a full-time, office-based role ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment where attention to detail and a practical mindset are highly valued. About You You’re a degree-qualified mechanical engineer with a solid foundation in piping design. You’ve spent the last 5+ years developing your skills in industrial settings — working across project management, piping engineering, and CAD modelling. You have a good understanding of piping standards including ASME and AS standards and have confidence in working independently to prepare, check and deliver quality piping engineering drawing packages. More importantly, you thrive in a team of professionals who care about doing things right — and doing them well. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (4-year) from an Australian university, Professional Member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust). Chartered status (CPEng) is desirable. Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or heavy industry projects. Experience using 2D/3D CAD design tools such as Plant 3D, Inventor to produce final drawings for fabrication Capability in pipe stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent Comprehensive knowledge of piping components Understanding of process equipment and process documentation such as P&IDs Demonstrated ability to work independently to produce clear and concise engineering calculation reports Strong skills in preparing and interpreting isometric drawings and general arrangements. Ability to lead a small team of piping designer/draftspersons Understanding of ASME and Australian Standards relevant to piping systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by strong collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
